What is an llms.txt?

The llms.txt is a text file in the root directory of your website (like robots.txt) that explains to AI systems in Markdown form what your website is about and which pages matter. The format comes from llmstxt.org: an H1 heading with the name, a short description as a blockquote and sections with links to the core pages. AI crawlers find your relevant content faster instead of working through navigation and footers.

A detailed guide with examples is in our article creating an llms.txt.
